1) Export probably doesn't count because cargo trains, planes or ships belong to their respective station, not to any industry buildings. Between the low amount of trucks per building, not able to set delivery priority and trucks going to the edge of the map to deliver exporting by roads is extremely likely to result in storage getting full and extractors/storage using up all the trucks to go to edge of the map instead of giving it to factories next door. It would be fine if export by roads was viable, but it's really not. If product leaves industry by anything but roads, it won't generate income making entire update pointless.
